If the install and archive configuration succeeded, there should be a file
named  wgindex.html  that was created in your archive directory.  Copy this
to someplace where you can view it from the web, you will see that it is a
search form.  See if that works, before trying anything tricky like
searching in a specific subdirectory of your site.
