Re: webglimpse and glimpseindex options
Hi Daniel
If your main concern is to search the indexes with Webglimpse, the main
thing is to include the -U -X options with your glimpseindex command line.
Then webglimpse should be able to search your archive, you can use a form
like this
<FORM ACTION="/your/path/to/webglimpse.cgi" method=GET>
<input name="pathinfo" value="/path/to/your/indexes/" type=hidden>
<input name="query">
...other webglimpse tags, see wgindex.html for example...
</FORM>
If you also want the advantage of using the various config files Webglimpse
puts in place and having the webministration interface manage your archive,
you should create the archive first with Webglimpse, either using
wgarcmin.cgi or wgcmd, and then edit the
wgreindex
file in your archive directory to have your preferred switches. Just make
sure you leave in the -U and -X. Then everything else should work
transparently.
Make sure to keep a copy of your edited wgreindex file, if you upgrade and
press the 'Save Changes' button a new 'standard' one will be put in place.
Hope that helps,
