running glimpse with -L option

I'm getting some long search times from webglimpse and have noticed that
this occurs with searches which exceed the maxfiles setting.  If I run
the glimpse command manually and include the option "-L 0:25" it runs
much faster.  What I don't understand is why webglimpse doesn't call
glimpse with the -L options so it stops searching files when the limits
are exceeded.  If you have run glimpseindex with the -t option this would
still return your matches in date order because that's how they are
searched.  My index is 15000 files and 48 mbytes of e-mail.
