Webglimpse for AIX
Hello,
We have a search engine installed in our server, an AIX 4.3.1.0, but is not
Webglimpse. It's working ok, but I liked Webglimpse because is faster, maybe
the fastest search engine I've ever seen. So I would like to use it in my server,
but I had some problems installing it.
First I got this message running wginstall:
syntax error at ./wginstall.pl line 707, near "sub InstallBinaryFile("
I supposed it was about the parameters, so I changed that lines.
The next problem was about the OS, os I select linux. then it shows this warning:
Use of uninitialized value at lib/wgserver.pl line 48 (and line 52)
then the next warnings:
gcc -O -o lib/httpget lib/httpget.c
In file included from lib/httpget.c:11:
/usr/include/arpa/inet.h:152: warning: `struct ether_addr' declared inside parameter
list
/usr/include/arpa/inet.h:152: warning: its scope is only this definition or
declaration, which is probably not what you want.
/usr/include/arpa/inet.h:153: warning: `struct ether_addr' declared inside parameter
list
/usr/include/arpa/inet.h:154: warning: `struct ether_addr' declared inside parameter
list
/usr/include/arpa/inet.h:159: warning: `struct sockaddr_dl' declared inside
parameter list
/usr/include/arpa/inet.h:160: warning: `struct sockaddr_dl' declared inside
parameter list
/usr/include/arpa/inet.h:161: warning: `struct sockaddr_dl' declared inside
parameter list
And at last when it's indexing it shows this error about 30 times:
syntax error at /home/httpd/cgi-bin/webglimpse/lib/htuml2txt.pl line 36, near
"sub addspace ("
Execution of /home/httpd/cgi-bin/webglimpse/lib/htuml2txt.pl aborted due to
compilation errors.
It ends here and the page can be opened in the browser, but it doesn't work.
When I try to search anything it says:
The page can not be found
If I change the line:
<FORM method=get ACTION="/cgi-bin/webglimpse/soft/apache-131/share/htdocs">
whith this:
<FORM ACTION="http://uninorte.edu.co/cgi-bin/webglimpse" METHOD=GET>
<INPUT NAME="pathinfo" TYPE="HIDDEN" VALUE="/soft/apache-131/share/htdocs">
Now it says: you are not authorized to view this page.
Note that I have changed the permissions to all directories where webglimpse
is installed.
Any comments ?
Is there a version that works in this OS (AIX 4.3.1.0)?
Thanks a lot
Juan
