You're a genius! That fix worked for me too. BTW, the trail I had been pursuing was a dead-end. This line of the glimpse.h file defines a variable that is never referenced anywhere else!
#define DEF_ALL_INDEX 10000 /* Must be < DEF_MAX_ALL_INDEX */
Like Allin, my .glimpse_partition was around 40 Meg in size. In fact I believe that the 40 Meg barrier is actually the killer, not the file count. But it's actually too close to call in my set up.
