table overflow?

I am trying to index a large collection of documents. There are about
4,000 documents for a total of 3.5 GB.

I am getting some sort of error message:

>> perun% glimpse -i -w -H corpus_index -y 'new york'
>> in get_table: table overflow

Is there anything that can be done or is glimpse restricted to fewer
documents/gigabytes?

Note that indexing one sixth of the collection at a time works fine
but it gives me six distinct indices which is not very convenient for
what I am trying to do.
