Searching part of the server?

I apologize if this is an obvious question, but I've been trying to use
webglimpse to implement a web search facility on our web site.  We want to
be able to set up a search for pages under http://www.cs.umd.edu/hcil/,
without indexing everything not under hcil.  I want to use httpget so that
non-linked pages don't show up.

When I tried restricting webglimpse to our subdirectory on the server, it
was following links and not recognizing other locations as being "foreign"
and not indexing them.

What am I doing wrong?
