Indexing PDF docs

Hi,
I am trying to index pdf files.
I have followed the instructions at
http://webglimpse.net/docs/howto_xpdf.html, but they do not tell me 
what to do with the executable (i.e., where to put it).  I have gunzipped
and untared it.  I also made all 
the other modifications mentioned.  When I run ./wgreindex, I get the
following message:
sh: /home/testdir/webglimpse/lib/usexpdf.pl: No such file or directory
I have checked the path and filename and they are correct, permissions are
right too.
Does anyone know what I need to do?
