glimpseindex -r

I think that there is a partially documented flag for glimpseindex,
it is "-r delim". It comes as an option when you type "glimpseindex.php"
with no parameter. But does not appear in the man page. 

My understanding is that it generates an index at the resolution of
sections delimited by "delim". I find this a very useful option, does
anybody have experience with it?
