glimpse 4.12.6 not returning any results to a search

Hi all.

I'm evaluating glimpse 4.12.6 to see if we can use it to index our local
repository of IETF RFCs and Drafts. I've indexed all the files using
glimpseindex, but glimpse doesn't return any results at all when I
execute a query. What have I done wrong?

I'm using the pre-built linux binaries from
http://webglimpse.net/allusers/glimpse-4.12.6.bin.Linux-2.2.5-22-i686.tar.gz
under RHL v6.1

I indexed the files by executing the command:
>glimpseindex -H /path/to/index -b -B -i -M 16 -n -z /path/to/rfcs
/path/to/drafts

I am searching the files with the command:
>glimpse -H /path/to/index -F 'rfc[0-9][0-9]xx' -i -l -y -z 'mobile;ip'

There are just under 7000 files indexed and I had some difficulty
getting glimpseindex to complete the job without segfaulting, but
increasing the -M setting finally solved that and I got what should be a
valid index. At least it was generated without any reported errors.
There are entries in .glimpse_index for both 'mobile' and 'ip'.

The files are stored in the repository in compressed form. (i.e.,
rfc27xx/rfc2793.txt.gz) and I've set up a .gz filter which seems to be
working OK since glimpseindex was able to index the compressed files.

I've tried not specifying glimpse's -F option and searching for just
'mobile' but I always get zip.

Can anyone suggest what I can look at or something to try to find out
why glimpse isn't finding any results?

Thanks,
Bryan.
