Long filenames on dropdown list
When the archived directory is deep in directory tree, the process of
creating "wgall.html" leaves the cluttered and nearly unreadable long
file names in the drop down list. (When archived by directory).
When confarc does its work it shows what "root" it is using for the
indexing, not absolute root but the archive directory. But then when
the wgall.html, is generated, absolute root is the path used to list
the indexed directories
Short of symlinking to get a shorter filename what do people do to
avoid that? Doesn't seem possible to give the archive directory as
root of the "path" when answering confarc questions.
A related matter is controlling the number of directories that get
on that list. I realize wg.filters can do this, but it seems like lots
of detailed work to do each time confarc is run. Editing the
resulting wgall.html is even less attractive.
Nested subdirectories result in many being listed that don't need to be.
