Does <title> tag location affect results list?

Hi there:

I use glimpse at my ISP (www.webcom.com) which runs UNIX.

I have found that if the <title> tag of an HTML file is located too far down
in a document that the title tag will not appear in the results list.
Instead, the fully-qualified path of the file shows up, beginning with
http://.

Has anybody run into this?  Or, does anybody know of another reason this may
occur? I did test this by moving the <title> tag to the top of a file that
was not displaying properly in the results list but I suppose there could be
other factors involved.  My guess is that glimpse increases performance by
limiting the number of characters it will search in a file in order to find
the <title> tag.  If so, what is this limit and is there a way to override
it?

I have a test case setup if anybody wants more info.
